The Controller leads the accounting and financial operations. This role is responsible for overseeing accounting, financial reporting, tax compliance, and internal controls for the company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, NetSuite G/L and the monthly close process.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES include but are not limited to the following:

• Oversee the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US GAAP.
• Manage the month-end and year-end close processes within NetSuite ERP/GL.
• Document, maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard assets.
• Lead financial reporting activities.
• Lead cash management and daily banking activities.
• Ensure compliance with industry tax regulations, external audits, and financial reporting requirements.
• Supervise and mentor the accounting team, providing leadership and training, including the A/P and A/R functions.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and decision-making.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax professionals, and financial institutions.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, (CPA required).
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, with at least 2+ years as a Controller. (Telecommunications experience is a PLUS)
• Proven expertise in NetSuite ERP, including monthly closing, importing/exporting of data and reporting. (Rev.io experience is a PLUS)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Experience managing audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance.
• Strong proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
• Ability to “get their hands dirty” and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in Telecommunications or SaaS
• Ability to close the books in NetSuite
• Advanced Knowledge of Excel.
