Sr Accountant & Audit Lead (1771)
The Senior Accountant and Audit Lead will play a key role in planning, coordinating, and managing the company’s annual audit processes. Acting as a central point of coordination between internal teams and external/internal auditors, this role will oversee audit timelines, track deliverables, implement process improvements and ensure the timely and accurate completion of audit requirements across the organization.
This individual will also leverage their accounting expertise to support the timely and accurate processing and reporting of financial transactions and assist with implementing processes that strengthen internal controls and improve accounting systems.
Success in this role requires a strong foundation in accounting and auditing, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining clear communication across stakeholders.
This position is well-suited for a motivated and highly organized professional who communicates clearly, collaborates effectively across teams, and takes ownership of complex processes from planning through successful completion in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time, on-site position located in St. Louis, MO.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and coordinate all company audits globally, managing timelines, deliverables, and communication between auditors and internal stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, procedures, and internal control frameworks
- Assess proper accounting treatment in accordance with GAAP
- Prepare journal entries for month end and/or year-end close
- Assist in strengthening internal controls and improving accounting processes to support audit readiness and operational efficiency.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Degree in accounting or finance
- CPA certification with professional training with public accounting firm preferred
- Minimum 5 years’ experience, or 3+ years of experience in a large international public accounting firm
- Proficient computer skills including proficiency in Excel
