Sr Mgr or Dir of FP&A, Strategy (1652)

Position Summary:
The Senior Manager/Director of FP&A, Strategy will be responsible for assisting the CEO & CFO with annual budget, forecasting and reporting processes for the entire leadership team as well as assisting the CEO/CFO on setting strategies and implementing reporting and process initiatives across the company. Focus will be on driving the company’s financial planning and analysis function with an emphasis on performance improvement, providing quality management information, and furthering the development of scalable reporting systems and processes, analytical tools, key performance metrics and facilitate better communication with our funding sources and investors.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
- FP&A responsibilities including: month end analysis, reporting and management communications, monthly forecasting, annual and long term planning and budgeting in addition to community acquisition and/or management transition due diligence
- Key business partner to operations, sales, HR, and finance leads including: revenue generation or cost reduction opportunity identification and implementation, profitability analysis and improvement, assist with working capital management, identify and implement operational efficiencies, process improvement and benchmarking initiatives, assist with defining and setting strategy, in addition to delivering top notch customer service internally and externally as the face of the finance organization
- Prepare financial modeling, what if scenarios, capital and investment justifications, ROI analysis and presentations for senior management, banks and investors
- Forecasting investment returns for the Acquisition Fund and responsibility for ongoing maintenance of the financial modeling that supports investment return expectations
- Implementing and utilizing reporting tools to deliver accurate and digestible data via current and proposed systems
- Administer standardization and best practice efforts for the organization (one consistent and standard way)
- Partner with the Accounting team to understand key drivers of the financial statements, identify areas for improvement, and collaborate to drive change
- Assist in month end close duties, business plans for new developments and acquisitions, cash flow management and future cash flow projections
- Work with Accounting to streamline KPI’s and business information
- Review and analyze performance and trends of clients assets and investments
- Identify, analyze and collaborate on corrective action for variances to budgets and business plans
- Prepare financial analysis and present concise conclusions and recommendations to President & COO and Clients management team
- Special Projects as requested
Qualifications, Education and/or Experience:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting or business related major required, CPA or MBA Preferred
- 7 or more years of accounting and/or financial analysis experience
- Extensive experience with complex Excel modeling, manipulating and analyzing data
- Familiar with standard financial reporting layouts and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, and KPI metric visualizations
- Professional-level attention to detail with an ability to translate complex data into digestible executive level reports
- Commercial business or private equity owned, structured query language (SQL) and application programming interface (API) experience preferred
- Great communication skills including presentations to C Suite and/or BOD’s
Computer Skills:
Proficiency in Internet browsers (e.g. Explorer, Chrome, Fire Fox), as well as Microsoft Office programs: Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
Our client is a fully remote operating company with office availability on an as needed basis located in St Louis County.
Travel Requirements:
This position requires travel on as needed basis. Travel may be local or overnight.
Compensation:
$150-175,000 plus bonus & excellent benefits package 401k & PTO.
