Senior Manager/Director Tax Compliance & Planning We are seeking an experienced tax professional to join our tax team. As the Senior Manager/Director Income Tax, you will be a key member of the tax team responsible for income tax compliance, tax planning and ensuring the company's adherence to applicable tax laws and regulations. This critical hands-on role requires a deep understanding of tax and accounting principles, excellent managerial abilities, and the capacity to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external advisors. Your expertise will be essential in maintaining accurate and timely tax filings while minimizing taxes for our partners. This role will provide exposure to a broad base of income tax issues (primarily focused on partnership & individual taxation) with the opportunity for future advancement based on demonstrated abilities.
Core Responsibilities
? Tax Planning and Optimization: Collaborate with Tax team, fund structuring team and external tax advisors to identify tax-saving opportunities and implement strategies that minimize taxes while maintaining compliance.
? Provide tax advice for internal individual equity partners.
? Estimated Taxes: Annually compute taxable income estimates for investor level entities.
? Risk Management: Identify potential tax risks and implement strategies to minimize exposure.
? Tax Research: Stay abreast of changes in tax laws, regulations, and tax compliance requirements.
Qualifications
? Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related degree. A master’s degree and/or CPA designation preferred. ? Minimum of 6-10 years of income tax experience including some experience with partnership taxation. Public accounting tax experience highly desired.
? In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local income tax laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
? Strong leadership and management skills.
? Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
? Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office suite.
