Senior Accountant (1735)
The Senior Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the company’s general ledger. This role involves a variety of tasks, including journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, financial statement preparation, and adherence to accounting standards.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and post journal entries for various transactions, including accruals, prepayments, and adjustments.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends and anomalies.
- Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and other relevant accounting standards.
- Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation.
- Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
- Manage fixed assets via CPA firm
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary information for financial reporting.
- Special Projects as Needed:
- System process improvements
- Create Standard Operating Procedures
- Help create efficiency
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in general ledger accounting
- Big 4 or large regional public accounting firm experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles
- Balance sheet reconciliation experience
- Proficiency in ERP software (JDE experience a plus)
- High level Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Solid organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Desire to grow into a leadership role within the team by managing 1-2 team members in the future
Base salary range $80-110k plus great benefits!
