Plant Accountant
The Plant Accountant is responsible for overseeing financial processes and providing financial insights to support the plant’s operational efficiency. The Plant Accountant will work closely with plant management and corporate finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities:
· Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare monthly financial statements for the plant, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards.
· Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in preparing annual budgets and periodic forecasts by analyzing production costs, labor, and materials.
· Cost Analysis: Track and analyze manufacturing costs, including direct labor, materials, and overhead, to identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance profitability.
· Inventory Management: Monitor and analyze inventory levels and variances, supporting cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
· Operational Support: Partner with plant managers to provide financial insights and recommendations that drive operational improvements and cost efficiency.
· Variance Analysis: Analyze and explain variances between actual results and budget/forecast, especially concerning material costs, labor costs, and production volumes.
· Internal Controls: Support the implementation and monitoring of internal controls within the plant to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
· 1-3 years of accounting or financial analysis experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
· Minimum of 2 years cost accounting.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; experience with Infor Syteline similar platforms is a plus.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

Base salary range $75,000 – $90,000
