Job Title: Controller

Location:  St. Louis, MO

Reports to:  Chief Financial Officer
Job Description:  The Controller will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations and analysis functions ranging from general accounting, forecasting, budgeting, internal and external reporting, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and special projects. This position will supervise accounting personnel and report directly to the Chief Financial Officer.
Responsibilities include:

• Ensures accuracy and completeness of accounting.
• Manage and drive the monthly, quarterly and year-end close process and activities.  Serve as key liaison with other groups for dependencies.
• Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and related schedules.
• Perform financial analysis functions including monthly analytical review of financial operations and balance sheet review.
• Develop and maintain company’s accounting policies, processes and procedures.
• Assist in budget preparation.
• Implement and maintain internal accounting control functions.
• Manage and drive system and process improvement to improve timeliness and accuracy of the monthly close activities.
• Manages on-line banking processes
• Manage cash and requirements forecast
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• BS in accounting or finance (CPA designation or Masters preferred)
• Minimum of 5+ years accounting experience
• Experience managing third party service providers desirable
• Knowledge of financial reporting and compliance requirements
• Ability to meet deadlines while addressing multiple priorities
• Ability to manage and develop professional accounting staff
• Ability to clearly and concisely document and explain technical accounting and reporting matters
