| Description |
The Tax Manager will be responsible for tax reporting and planning to maximize tax savings opportunities that contribute to shareholder value while fulfilling tax payment and reporting obligations. Specifically this position will allow you to:
- Manage the preparation of the company’s tax provision for financial statement purposes, including supervision of and coordination with outside consultants in the preparation of such provision. Prepare and adhere to tax reporting calendar on a quarterly basis. Assist with tax reporting for SEC filings. Maintain tax model and supporting workbooks used for provision process.
- Identify, document and quantify any tax liabilities arising from federal, state and local and international tax filings as required under FIN 48 and assist in required disclosures for tax compliance and tax provision.
- Work closely with outside consultants in the preparation and review of the consolidated federal income tax return. Review and analyze all temporary and permanent tax differences prepared by outside consultants for all entities for tax compliance and tax provision purposes and ensure appropriate documentation.
- Assist with tax return to provision reconciliations. With experience identify and make recommendations to improve tax compliance and tax provision integration and to improve efficiencies and controls.
- Track all federal and state and local tax attributes for tax return and tax provision purposes, including net operating loss carryforwards, tax credits and tax basis calculations.
- Monitor and review with outside tax consultants federal and state tax law changes and potential cash tax and tax rate implications.
- Assist Tax Director with research, modeling and documentation of complex international tax issues involving transfer pricing, foreign tax credit and repatriation matters.
- Organize and coordinate the implementation and execution of tax planning strategies and perform/review associated tax research, supported as necessary by outside tax consultants. Participate in review of proposed transactions to properly advise management of tax consequences. Support the income tax integration of business acquisition and dispositions.
- Responsible for the timely processing of sales and use tax and property tax filings prepared by outside consultants.
- Consult with business units on tax issues as they arise.
- Conduct tax research for various projects as required.
Assist Tax Director with other special projects, including M&A, state and local and international tax planning on an as needed basis.

| Qualifications |
- B.S. in Taxation and/or Accounting. Advanced degree with an emphasis in taxation preferred.
- CPA license desirable.
- Minimum 5+ years experience in corporate tax and/or public accounting environment with progressively responsible tax experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of SAP general ledger system helpful.
- Strong analytical and organization skills required; must be detail oriented.
- Superior communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills are necessary, as this roles will work closely with division finance leaders and outside service providers.
- Broad technical knowledge of U.S.tax law and regulations.
- Solid GAAO Financial Accounting/ASC 740 knowledge, with strong proficiency in GAAP accounting literature related to accounting income taxes.
- Skilled in electronic research (RIA, CCH, Westlaw, Lexis).
- Sound understanding of the tax implications of a multi-national manufacturing company.
- Demonstrated ability to develop innovative and creative solutions to complex issues.
- Proven leadership capability and desire for increasing responsibility.
